<p>The foot is one of the most important structures in the body when it comes to bio-mechanics. The foot is the first line of defense against gravity and the ground. If there is any bio-mechanical failure in the foot, it has profound effects on the rest of the body. Lets say for instance that you had a rock in your shoe, causing pain in your foot. Now the most common reaction to this is to limp. Over time this limp will start to create imbalances in the knee, then hip, then low back and so on. So, whats the answer you ask? Its to take the rock out of the shoe, or possibly in your case, to fix your foot. Lets look at some ways to know if you have foot problems.</p>
<p>1. The 1st way to see if you have a foot problem causing other problems in your body is to look at the bottom of your shoes. The arches of your foot are like tiny shock absorbers. The moment your foot hits the ground these tiny shock absorbers reduce the stress of your step. If you&#8217;ve lost the arches of your foot, or have flat feet this causes great problems for your low back.</p>

Research tells us that for every 3 pounds of muscle gained, you are increasing your resting metabolic rate by about 7%. For example, if your body burns 1,200 calories per day (not counting exercise or any other movement), you would burn an extra 84 calories per day with those 3 extra pounds of muscle.</p>
<p>Most women don&#8217;t lift weights heavier than 2-3 pounds for fear of bulking up.
